Building on the successes achieved in Introduction to Nose Work, Introduction to Vehicles and Exteriors will continue to explore the excitement of nose work, by adding more advanced skills, and by moving out of doors. Using reward-based training, your dog will be exposed to more challenging searches, as well as begin searching in the more distracting outdoor environment. In addition, careful observation of our dogs will teach us how scent travels indoors and outdoors, under varying conditions.

Prerequisites: Introduction to Nose Work, or approval of instructor.

Class Start Date: Classes are offered as students complete Introduction to Nose Work. Contact us for more information if you have taken the prerequisites elsewhere.

Locations: Cubberley Community Center in Palo Alto. Pet Food Express in Palo Alto, Mountain View, and San Jose. Pet Food Express offers an exciting variety of fun, interesting searches, and is a wonderful opportunity for dogs to learn focus, with distracting pet products nearby. Cubberley Community Center’s classroom is a quiet environment: an ideal location to start learning this fun and challenging new game.
